AMENDMENTS to the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) and the Evidence Act were passed after two days of intense debate in the Dewan Rakyat.
Among the major changes to the CPC is that those charged with serious offences or domestic violence cannot be discharged, either conditionally or unconditionally, or released on a good behaviour bond.
