Shafie: Time to ‘balik kampung'

Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal

KOTA KINABALU: Former Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal has rejected the offer to be the deputy president of a new party because he feels it is time for him to balik kampung to help Sabahans.

Speaking to crowds in Kota Belud during a Hari Raya gathering on Sunday, Shafie said he saw that there was a need for a new locally based party to champion Sabah’s cause.
