KOTA KINABALU: A team of Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) personnel foiled an attempt to smuggle a boat load of controlled goods into the Philippines.
The boat, manned by a 48-year-old man and a teenager, was spotted near Pulau Bakungan Kecil, off Sandakan, at about 1pm yesterday.
