Penang cops bust ‘Macau scam’ ring


PETALING JAYA: Police crippled a Macau scam syndicate with the arrests of 97 individuals including 89 foreigners in four separate busts in Penang.

Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said 22 women were among the suspects comprising nine Malaysian men, 87 China nationals and a Taiwanese.  They were picked up at four separate locations between 12pm and 5pm Wednesday.
