Passenger safety a major concern in taxi reform plan

PETALING JAYA: Consumers need assurance that they will be adequately protected and not taken for a ride under the Taxi Industry Transformation Programme (TITP) unveiled by the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).

While generally being supportive of the TITP, the Public Transport Users Association (4PAM) said consumers were the largest stakeholders and “literally financing” the industry.
