Duterte ‘prepared to discuss’ Sabah claims with Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte is “prepared to discuss” the country’s sovereign claims over Sabah if the issue is raised during his bilateral meeting with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

“It may or it may not be raised. But, in any case, if it is raised by either side, I’m sure our President will be prepared to discuss this issue,” Foreign affairs spokesman Charles Jose said in a pre-departure briefing in Malacañang on Monday.
