Gold mining company set to start operations in Tawau

KOTA KINABALU: Gold mining is set to begin at a  948ha site at Mount Wullersdorf near Tawau, said Sabah Environment Protection Department director Mohd Yusrie Abdullah.

He added that the company - Sandakan-based South Sea Gold Sdn Bhd - has obtained the land title and mining rights after meeting requirements set by the Land and Survey Department.
