Wisma Putra confirms body found at Iran mountain is Malaysian

PETALING JAYA: The Foreign Ministry confirmed that the body found at Mount Damavand, Iran on Oct 27 is that of Ramli Abd Majid, a Malaysian hiker who went missing since Nov 20, 2016.

The Ministry said in a statement Sunday that the Malaysian embassy in Tehran is rendering the necessary assistance to repatriate the remains back to Malaysia.
