Statue of Taoist deity to be a ‘passenger’ on flight from China


MELAKA: A statue of a Taoist deity will be among the passengers of a Kuala Lumpur-bound flight today as an entourage from Hua Cheng Ann temple in Xiamen, China, comes to join in the ongoing prayer organised by a well-known temple here.

The deity Lee Ju Sian Tze is being flown here for the prayer being held after more than 90 years, with the blessing of Tee Hoo Ong Yah, the resident deity of Yong Chuan Tian Taoist temple in Bandar Hilir.
