PUTRAJAYA: Two unemployed men were spared the gallows after the Federal Court deemed their conviction unsafe as it depended too heavily on circumstantial evidence.
The panel lead by Chief Justice of Malaya Ahmad Maarop unanimously set aside the conviction of T. Rakesh Kumar and A. Ranjit Singh, acquitting and discharging the duo on Monday (Jan 8).
