Chief Justice: 'Not proper' to raise appointment of judges in Legal Year speech


PUTRAJAYA: The change in format to the Opening of the Legal Year 2018 was because the Malaysian Bar had insisted on highlighting the appointment of top judges in its president's speech, Chief Justice Tun Md Raus Sharif said.

He said that the Bar had wanted to raise the matter of his and Court of Appeal president Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin’s appointments, adding that it was "not proper".
