Ti Lian Ker questions DAP's silence over attacks on Kuok

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker(pic) is perplexed that DAP parliamentarians are keeping quiet or staying at the sidelines when the Chinese community was trampled on.
 
"Their standard response … will always be 'where are the MCA leaders'," the MCA publicity spokesman said in a statement on Thursday (March 1).
 
He was commenting on Tourism and Culture Minister  Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz's recent attacks against tycoon Robert Kuok.
 
He also questioned why DAP's Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua was "missing in action".
Ti also said that DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang had questioned MCA for not stepping up when Nazri attacked Kuok.
 
"Nazri is not representing Barisan Nasional or Umno when he gets emotional or when he's a voice in the wilderness," said Ti.
 
Last week, blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin posted three articles on his website, alleging Kuok was funding various political parties to overthrow the Government.
 
Several leaders, including Nazri, criticised Kuok after the posting.
 
In response, Kuok's office issued a statement to deny the allegations and said he reserved the right to act against the Malaysia Today portal.
