GEORGE TOWN: Wearing the school tie, it looked like nonagenarian Datuk Tan Boon Lin never left the Penang Free School (PFS), where he was once its first Malaysian principal.

Tan, who came here to attend the PFS’ Class of ‘64 Chinese New Year reunion dinner, was principal from 1963 to 1968.
