JOHOR BARU: Wednesday as polling day did not sit well with Opposition leaders here, with some suggesting the Government declare May 9 a public holiday so that more people can cast their votes.
Johor PKR deputy chief Jimmy Puah said the Election Commission (EC) should encourage people to come out to vote during weekends instead of on a working day.
