It's not really about Anwar but candidate selection and voting system says Bersih

PETALING JAYA: In response to public sentiment on the upcoming Port Dickson by-election, Bersih 2.0 says it's not just about Anwar Ibrahim and has called for a wider debate on the internal selection of candidates by political parties and the first-past-the-post (FPTP) election system.

The electoral reform group said in a statement on Monday (Sep 17) that the bigger question is the top-down and opaque selection of election candidates in almost every political party in Malaysia.
