Wife of PAS info officer denies power abuse

ALOR SETAR: The wife of Kedah PAS information chief claimed trial in a Sessions Court to alleged abuse of power by approving seven applications to award maintenance projects totalling RM23,763 at the college where she was the principal, to her brother’s firm and another company which her brother has vested interest in.

Rafida Ramli, 46, from Alor Setar, is accused of using her position as the then principal of Maktab Mahmud Pendang to award wiring works and fixing of fans for the college’s hostel blocks, academic block and the canteen to Perniagaan MZ Nadi Cahaya Enterprise belonging to her brother Mohd Zuhdi Ramli, 30, and to Perniagaan Alir Kuasa Enterprise, in which Mohd Zuhdi has interest in.
