Saifuddin: ICERD concerns, including deferment call, to be brought to Cabinet for decision

KUALA LUMPUR: Concerns over the ratification of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) including PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s call for it to be postponed will be brought to the Cabinet's attention for a decision.

Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah acknowledged that the issue had caused uneasiness and assured that the Government will not be hasty in ratifying the convention.
