BUTTERWORTH: The healthcare coverage under the B40 Health Protection Fund will be extended to cover 36 major critical illnesses instead of four as announced earlier, said Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
He said the scheme, effective Jan 1 next year, would provide protection for the bottom 40% of the population (B40) with up to 14 days of hospitalisation benefits.
