SUBANG JAYA: The situation around the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in USJ25, Subang Jaya was relatively quiet tonight, except at around 11pm, when a large group of motorcyclists came.

Policeman who were on standby in the area instructed them to move away immediately, and they complied shortly after.

The group of over 20 motorcyclists had come to the road opposite the temple.

However, a group of about 30 to 40 people came walking to a nearby empty plot of land. This was opposite the main road facing the temple, below the LRT line.

The group stood around until police asked them to move on. As they were leaving, they asked to speak to media reporters.

The group's representative, Sharizad Sahak, told the media, "We are not here to cause trouble. We just want to show the people not to trample on the Malays."

They returned to the empty land where they had gathered earlier, shouted some slogans related to religion, and then dispersed.

Unlike last night (Nov 26), when the roads were packed with people showing support for the temple, the situation tonight was calm.

Small groups of people were allowed by police to go to the temple to pray, but there no crowds gathered along the roads.
