MACC to check with British firm if fireproof suits are fake

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will seek the help of a British manufacturer to check if the 6,000 fireproof suits purchased for the Fire and Rescue Department for RM13.5mil in 2016 are indeed fakes, reported news portal Malaysiakini.

Sources told the portal that the MACC had received information that the suits were not made by a UK-based manufacturer as specified.
