PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has perhaps found his life's calling after priding himself as the 'King of Trolls' on social media, says DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang.

Lim said Najib, who was campaigning in the Cameron Highlands by-election, had boasted of his accomplishments on social media, adding that Najib had even crowned himself the 'King of Trolls', claiming that he fights with facts and not with lies.

However, Lim chided Najib's remarks saying that the former prime minister "does not tell ordinary lies, but only gargantuan ones".

Lim said among the lies Najib has told was accusing DAP of being anti-Malay and anti-Islam, and for resorting to politics of fear and hatred.

"But Najib's most gargantuan lie is undoubtedly his denial that there is anything amiss with the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal, although it is the constant subject of the international media and made Malaysia the butt of international jokes for becoming a global kleptocracy," he said in a statement on Sunday (Jan 20).

Lim also said that a "troll" is defined as a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive messages with the intent of provoking readers.

"I do not know whether Malaysians should lament and rue that the former prime minister of Malaysia prides himself on becoming the 'king of trolls'.

"Maybe Najib has finally found his best vocation," he said.
