PETALING JAYA: PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang says that the people’s rejection against Pakatan Harapan is of their failure in fulfilling its promises.

Other than that, he adds that it is also a sign of the people's rejection of the extreme political culture brought by the DAP.

“PAS congratulates Barisan Nasional on their win with a greater majority in the by-election, and sees this result as a positive development towards better cooperation in the opposition bloc.”

“Gratitude to God with His guidance to voters for choosing a Muslim candidate to represent the people and the plural society in the Cameron Highlands parliament.”

The PAS president gave his highest appreciation to PAS members and machinery from all over the state and the country who assisted in the campaign.

He hopes that Barisan’s Ramli Mohd Nor will be able to bring up the voice of those who defend religion, race and the country in Parliament.

Official results released by the Election Commission (EC) showed that Ramli won by a 3,238-vote majority over Pakatan Harapan candidate M. Manogaran.

According to official results, Ramli garnered 12,038 votes, while Manogaran garnered 8,800 votes.
