KUALA LUMPUR: Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad has said that the accident involving a lift at a PPR (people's housing project) in Kampung Kerinchi, Pantai Dalam on Friday (Aug 2) was a freak accident that should not have happened.
Khalid said that the fail-safe protections should have kicked in when the lift started to fall from the fifth floor.
