Tanjung Bungah landslide incident entirely preventable, concludes Penang inquiry commission

GEORGE TOWN: The State Commission of Inquiry (SCI) tasked to investigate the Tanjung Bungah landslide which claimed 11 lives, has concluded that the incident was caused by a series of successive acts and omissions.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the report will now be sent to relevant parties for an investigation, and appropriate action to be taken against those involved.
