KUALA LUMPUR: Stern action will be taken against those who spread fake news or make irresponsible comments on social media regarding a case where a woman was killed and her attacker shot dead by police that had gone viral, says Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
The Inspector-General of Police said following the incident, certain irresponsible parties had uploaded articles bordering on sedition that could spur hate and misunderstanding.
