‘UEC holders need added qualifications to get ahead in civil service’

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah government’s announcement that it now recognises the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) is “not shockingly new”, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

He noted that holders of UEC would still need to have a diploma or a higher qualification if they wanted to go for a higher position in the state civil service.
