Stress is ‘main cause of child abuse’ in Sarawak

SIBU: Stress is the main cause of child abuse in Sarawak, says state Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women and Family Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.

She said that there had been a rise in cases from 14 in all of 2018 to 22 in the first nine months this year, adding that her ministry was working to find the reasons the perpetrators in these cases “were stressed to the point of abusing children”.
