MAIWP donates RM30,000 to eligible ex-Utusan staff

PETALING JAYA: The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) has donated RM30,000 to 25 eligible former Utusan Melayu (M) Bhd staff.

"There have even been those who feed their children syrup because they cannot afford milk,", said MAIWP chairman Datuk Seri Syed Hussien Alhabshee, adding that he knew this from a report he received from former Utusan Group assistant editor-in-chief Datuk Zaini Hassan.
