Cyber scams caused RM410mil in losses


KUALA LUMPUR: Cyber scams resulted in RM410.6mil in losses with 8,489 cases recorded from 2018 until August 2019, says Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic).

According to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) statistics, during that period, 7,833 cases involving non-existent loans were reported to have recorded losses of RM71.7mil, he said in a written statement posted on the Parliament website.
