Vote for Jeck Seng to strengthen opposition in its role as check and balance to the govt, says Dr Wee

Johor Umno chief Datuk Hasni Mohamad (centre), MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (left) and Barisan Nasional candidate for the Tanjung Piai by-election Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng after the nomination on Saturday (Nov 2).

PONTIAN: A stronger opposition will provide checks and balances to ensure the government delivers on its promises to the people, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Commenting on a Pakatan Harapan statement on Saturday (Nov 2) saying that voting for the coalition’s candidate would ensure continuity of development in the area, the MCA president said such a statement implied that Pakatan had no plans to keep their promises if they lose the seat.
