BEAUFORT: A high-profile clash of parties is about to be played out in the laid-back semi-rural Kimanis constituency, a southwestern Sabah district, located about 100km from the state capital.

Umno’s grand scheme to reclaim its Sabah stronghold, lost after Tan Sri Musa Aman’s 15-year rule as chief minister ended in the May 2018 general election, starts with retaining the parliament seat in the upcoming Jan 18 by-election.
