High cancer cases and late-stage diagnosis worrying, says DG




KUALA LUMPUR:
The number of new cancer cases in Malaysia went up by 11.3% over two five-year-periods, according to the National Cancer Registry Report 2012–2016.

A total of 115,238 new cases (44.7% among males and 55.3% females) were recorded from 2012 to 2016, versus 103,507 from 2007 to 2011.
