Perhilitan announces birth of healthy female gaur

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian wildlife authorities have scored success when a pair of endangered gaur (seladang) delivered a healthy baby calf under its breeding programme at Pusat Konservasi Hidupan Liar (PKHL), Jenderak Selatan, Pahang.

In a Facebook posting, the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) announced that the pair of gaur, Citi (female) and Cipun (male), had given birth to a healthy female calf at the wildlife conservation centre.
