Officer unsure about prince

Trial continues: Najib is facing seven charges linked to SRC International.

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer who was involved in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) investigation says he was not sure whether a man he met in Saudi Arabia was Prince Saud Abdulaziz, said to be the signatory behind the purported letters claiming of a RM2.6bil donation, the High Court heard.

During examination-in-chief, lead counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah showed Mohd Nasharudin Amir, 48, four purported letters on the donations and asked whether Saud was the same person behind all four letters.“Looking at the documents, yes,” replied the witness at the SRC International Sdn Bhd trial yesterday.
