Maqis foils attempt to smuggle RM23,000 worth of freshwater prawns into S'pore


JOHOR BARU: The Malaysia Quarantine and Inspection Services (Maqis) has foiled an attempt to smuggle RM23,000 worth of freshwater prawns into Singapore on Friday (March 27).

Johor Maqis director Nur Afifah A. Rahman said that the lobsters were placed in some 50 boxes hidden within other frozen food products in a lorry.
