Suhaimi is Bernama’s new chairman.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chief executive officer Nurini Kassim has welcomed the appointment of Suhaimi Sulaiman as the agency’s new chairman, saying that she believes he will be able to provide strategic guidance to the agency in its transformation and efforts to stay relevant in the digital age.

“As we embark on our journey to transform Bernama into a converged and digital newsroom, I have no doubt that Suhaimi, in his new role as chairman, will be able to provide strategic guidance to the board, management and indeed the whole of Bernama with fresh ideas to help in our transformation and for Bernama to stay relevant in this digital age,” she said in a statement yesterday.
