Johor authorities seize more than RM500,000 worth of imported wood

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (Maqis) has seized more than half a million ringgit worth of wood imported from China.

Maqis director Nur Afifah A. Rahman said the 104,300kg of Dwarf Small-leaf birch wood, worth RM542,286, was found in four containers at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas at around 2.30pm on Thursday (April 16).
