KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): A waiter was fined RM3,500 in default three months' jail by the Magistrate's Court for biting the arm of a policeman in a scuffle while resisting arrest during a random check last month.
On Tuesday (May 12), Magistrate Fardiana Haryanti Ahmad Razali handed down the sentence on Suresh Kumar, 33, after he pleaded guilty to using criminal force on the policeman, Ismail Abu Hassan, with the intention to deter the latter from discharging his duty.
