‘Mete out harsher punishment’


PETALING JAYA: Those caught using fake titles for personal gain should be dealt with heavier punishment as the current penalties are too lenient, says the Council of Federal Datuks Malaysia (MDPM).

MDPM vice-president Datuk Abdul Razak Dawood said they should be penalised under the Offences Relating to Award Act (Act 787) which has more comprehensive and severe provisions.
