Penang Town Hall to get RM8mil renovation

GEORGE TOWN (Bernama): Restoration work on the Penang Town Hall, a British colonial building dating back to the 19th century, will cost RM8mil, according to state Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo.

"The whole project will take around 18 months and is expected to be completed by December 2021," he said while unveiling the restoration plan to reporters Thursday (July 2).
