CIDB: Only 23% of construction sites not in operation

In order: Foreign construction workers waiting for their turn to undergo the Covid-19 screening at the CIDB Convention Centre.

CHERAS: Work has yet to start at 23% of construction sites in the country due to several factors, such as financial problems, labour shortage and not being able to comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP).

Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) chief executive officer Datuk Ir Ahmad Asri Abdul Hamid said this was less compared to 84% during the early phase of the reopening of the economic sector on May 4.
