School bus with family of illegal immigrants stopped, 13 arrested


KOTA KINABALU: A family of 11 illegal immigrants who used a school bus as a cover to sneak through Sabah's southern Kalabakan border with Indonesia were arrested by General Operations Force (GOF) personnel.

Two locals who were the transporters were also arrested at a GOF roadblock under Ops Banteng Covid at KM21 Kalabakan-Keningau road, said Tawau-based Battalion 14 GOF commander Supt Mohd Yacob Murad on Saturday (July 16).
