‘Ceiling price of RM1.20 per face mask should be lowered to pre-pandemic rate’

Pressing matter: Business experts have noted that the supply of three-ply face masks has saturated in Malaysia.

PETALING JAYA: The RM1.20 ceiling price for three-ply disposable face masks should be lowered further to the pre-pandemic rate, say business groups.

Before the movement control order (MCO), the mask was sold at between RM25 and RM35 per box of 50 pieces depending on the quality, said Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (Acccim) SMEs committee chairman Koong Lin Loong.
