KUALA LUMPUR: A lawmaker sought assurance from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to get fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low, brought back into the country to face charges over his role in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal.
Datuk Seri Shamshul Iskandar Md Akin (PH-Hang Tuah Jaya) made the request after noticing that Muhyiddin was also present in Dewan Rakyat during debates on the motion of thanks on the Royal Address.
