Sabah fisheries culls coral eating starfish in Kunak and Lahad Datu waters

KOTA KINABALU: Efforts are ongoing to destroy the crown-of-thorns starfish (COTS) in Sabah’s east coast waters stretching from Kunak to Lahad Datu.

Sabah Fisheries Department director Dr Ahemad Sade said the effort by his department was to ensure that these starfish do not destroy healthy corals in the area.
