Let’s boost local economy first, then go regional, says Health DG

PETALING JAYA: The borders between countries can be opened eventually, but for now it would be best for each country to boost their domestic economy to ensure the Covid-19 virus is contained within its own borders, says Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The Health Director-General said on Tuesday (Aug 4) that if this was done, the Asean region would be able to bounce back economically post-Covid-19 pandemic without a bigger wave of cases, but this was only possible if there was social responsibility and social compliance at every level.
