PETALING JAYA: Paper strips may just be rubbish to most, but those with deft hands can turn them into wonderful works of art.

One such person is pharmacy student Nik Alya Syakirah Nik Ahmad Faris, whose creations have won the hearts of many online.

Nik Alya, 23, learned paper quilling – the art of rolling paper to create decorative designs – as a way to pass the time during the movement control order (MCO).
