Hamzah: Necessary steps taken to ensure safe deportation

PUTRAJAYA: Deporting illegal immigrants back to their country during the Covid-19 pandemic has been tough as governments are concerned over the possibility of its citizens bringing the virus back with them, said Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.

While acknowledging this, the Home Minister, however, said necessary steps were taken before undocumented foreigners were sent back, including putting them under quarantine at immigration depots.
