PUTRAJAYA: The capital punishment for murder and drugs trafficking is legally legislated by Parliament, a nine-man Bench of the Federal Court rules.
In an 8-1 majority decision handed down yesterday, Chief Judge of Malaya Justice Azahar Mohamed said that prescribing the measure of punishment was the prerogative of Parliament.
