Upko suggests 'remote voting centres' for outstation voters during Sabah polls

KOTA KINABALU: The Election Commission (EC) should consider setting up voting centres for an estimated 200,000 outstation voters in peninsula Malaysia, Sarawak and Singapore during the Sabah state election, says Senator Datuk Donald Peter Mojuntin (pic).

The Upko deputy president said the practice of setting up voting centres as "remote voting" has been adopted globally and has become common in the Covid-19 outbreak with many countries taking measures to mitigate transmission risks.
